Artist's Comments

"This is my release from the awfully intolerable world that society wants us to call home. Though, this escapism is a double-edged sword that constantly bites me every time I willingly touch it: it takes me to other worlds that I can fully dive into, something to escape the real world by; yet it pains me every time I close these paper portals afterward, for I must be thrust back into the cold and heartless reality.... Perhaps in this sense I am a masochist, for I will willingly keep coming back to answer this sadistic offer of illusions and release."

Only in America do banks leave both doors open and then chain the pens to the counters.
And only in America do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a diet coke.
:iconyamaharie:
Dude I cant draw that many books without hyperventilating.

Which is why I kept sipping the wine; it let me actually focus more on the drawing rather than the actual toil of it....

I just suck at furniture and animals..So I've been trying to practice lately by drawing things like bunnies and puppies and chairs and such. Those shelves would have killed me!

I've been trying to practice furniture too; these bookshelves were a pain because it was ALL straight edges.....
